A home remodel is one of the largest tasks a homeowner can take on, and we know how daunting that can be.
When you call into our office, you’ll be greeted by a member of our team who will talk through your project goals and make sure that PSR will be a great fit. Once we have all of the necessary information, we will get you scheduled to for a complementary in-home consultation.
Initial in-home Consultation
During your initial consultation, our Sales Specialist visits your home to discuss your project vision in more detail. She’ll listen to your wants and needs, offering expert suggestions to help you achieve your goals. During this visit, she’ll provide rough ballpark numbers for different ideas, take preliminary measurements, and capture photos of the space. Once she has gathered all necessary information, she will get you scheduled for your next appointment: the ballpark estimate review.

Design Agreement
Conceptual Design
The conceptual design phase is where we focus on the “big picture” items. It begins with an initial design consultation, where you’ll meet our interior designer. During this session, she’ll get to know you, your preferences, and your unique style.
Next, our residential designer will visit your home to measure the space, draw your existing floor plan, and identify any structural or mechanical elements that may influence the design.
Using insights from these meetings, our design team will collaborate to develop multiple layout options tailored to your vision. These concepts will be presented to you during your conceptual design presentation, complete with mood boards and realistic 3D renderings of the space. During this meeting, you’ll provide feedback on the options, selecting either a single design or a combination of elements from multiple layouts to create the final layout.
Written Estimate & Build Agreement
Once you’ve selected your final layout, it’s time to put real numbers to the design. Our estimator collaborates closely with the design team to create a comprehensive, detailed written estimate for your project. This estimate breaks down all the work being done, room by room, line by line, so you have complete transparency about what’s included. We’ll then invite you to an estimate review meeting, where we’ll walk through each detail together, answer your questions, and ensure everything aligns with your vision. Once the estimate meets your approval, you’ll sign the build contract, giving us the green light to move forward and dive into the finer details of bringing your project to life.
Design development
Now that you’ve chosen a layout, our team can begin diving into every detail of the project. You’ll visit some of Columbus’ best showrooms as our interior designer guides you through choosing flooring, cabinetry, lighting fixtures, accessories, and more.
At the same time our design development team will create your construction documents and project work order. These documents will include drawings detailing existing conditions, demo, new work, electric, plumbing, HVAC, exterior and interior elevations, and anything else needed to ensure your project is built exactly the way you envision.
Prepare for construction
Here’s where your project starts to feel real! Our team compiles all the elements into a finalized set of construction documents and submits them for permit. In the meantime, our Project Managers use the work order to create your build schedule and start a dedicated text chain to keep you informed every step of the way during construction.
Next comes your pre-construction meeting at the PSR office, where you’ll sit down with our design and build team to review every detail of the work order. This is also your opportunity to meet the Project Managers who will oversee daily operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure you always know who is working in your home. Once every detail has your approval, you’ll sign the work order, and we’ll officially schedule your construction start date!
Build
Don’t worry about a thing, we’ll take it from here! Your lead remodeling specialist will be on site every day to ensure that your remodel is done the PSR way and that our team cares for your home like it’s ours. From demo to framing, all the way to final clean up, PSR will handle it all. And if you ever have any questions during the project our lead remodelers and project managers are always there to set your mind at ease.
