A home remodel is one of the largest tasks a homeowner can take on, and we know how daunting that can be.
When you call into our office, you'll be greeted by our Office Manager, Ben, who will talk through your project goals and make sure that PSR will be a great fit. Once we have all of the necessary information, he will help get you scheduled to meet for a complementary in-home consultation.

During your in-home consultation our sales representative will listen to all of your wants and needs for the project and provide expert advice on how to achieve your goals while being conscious of your budget.
Within one week of your initial consultation, you'll receive a detailed preliminary estimate. This estimate is the same format as the estimate that will eventually be used in contracting and provides a clear look at expected project costs.

It's time to sign for design! The cost of design agreements varies depending on the size and scope of the project, but is typically around 5% of the total project estimate. The actual cost is generated by the scope of the preliminary estimate. Once given the go-ahead, our design team is able to start digging into the possibilities of your space. They'll take all your ideas (plus a few of their own) and turn them into real working construction documents.

The schematic design phase is where our team focuses on the "big picture" items. We'll start with your initial design consultation, where you'll meet Samantha, our interior designer, and Marian, our residential designer. Sam will get to know you and your style while Marian takes all the necessary measurements and draws the existing floor plan.
Based on the notes from this meeting, Marian and Sam will work together to develop multiple schemes and layout options for your project. This will be presented to you as part of your schematic design presentation, along with mood boards and realistic renderings of the space. During this meeting you'll discuss your likes and dislikes for each scheme and decide on one, or a combination of multiple, to begin developing.

3-6 WEEKS

Now that we have chosen a layout, our team can begin diving into every detail of the project. You'll visit some of Columbus' best showrooms as Samantha guides you through choosing flooring, cabinetry, lighting fixtures, accessories, and more.
At the same time Marian will create your construction documents and project work order. These documents will include drawings detailing existing conditions, demo, new work, electric, plumbing, HVAC, exterior and interior elevations, and anything else needed to ensure your project is built exactly the way you envision.
1 - 5 weeks
With your layout and scheme chosen, its time to start digging into the details
design development
Here's where the project becomes real! We start off by meeting with our trusted trade partners to gather real numbers for your final estimate. Then our team will compile all of the elements into your final set of construction documents and work order to submit for permit. Our Project Managers build your project schedule, so you can stay up to date on everything that's happening during build, and Pat creates your final estimate for contract.
Finally it's time to put it all together for your pre-construction meeting at the PSR office, where you will meet with the project development and build team to review every last detail. This is also where you will get to meet one of our field project managers, Mike and Chris, as well as your lead remodeling specialist, who will be on site daily working and managing subcontractors, so you always know who is in your home. Once your satisfied with every detail it's time to sign your build contract and get your project on the schedule!

Don't worry about a thing, we'll take it from here! Your lead remodeling specialist will be on site every day to ensure that your remodel is done the PSR way and they will care for your home as though it was their own. From demo to framing, all the way to final clean up, PSR will handle it all. And if you ever have any questions during the project our lead remodelers and field project managers are always there to set your mind at ease.
